Program Structure
The NVQ Centre is concerned with individual development that should be seen within the context of the personal and organisational goals. What is learned reflects both individual needs and the nature of change within the candidate's place of work.
Learning, Development and Assessment
Within the Awards, the processes of learning, development and assessment are linked together very closely. Since they take place at work, the whole development and assessment process becomes a 'way of life'; an approach to the candidates' work, which helps to make sure that they are able to do their job effectively. The impact of this process, in terms of change and improvement, on their own activities will also be felt to good effect within their own/employing organization.
From the perspective of the development at work, one can see that the important part of the whole process is the learning and development that is taking place within the candidate's work role. The achievement of an Award is important to the candidate, but it is, in a very real sense, a by-product of the learning, development and assessment processes.
